To give my art muse a vacation, I let her play last night- she came up with this book- Manila Italia.

 

This book is made with three different sizes of manila file folders, manila tags in several sizes, faux postage, and DaVinci Imagery and Italian text, Venetian images all from Ten Two Studios.  I embellished the pages with a few rubber stamps, sprayable inks (Adirondack), and fun fibers.  You can view the whole book on my website, linked above this image.

Compo Book Altered - Real Simply Delicious!

Last week I taught a small group of my friends some techniques for making what I call 'background papers'.  While demo-ing, I decided to utilize my collage technique to create this altered composition book - the covers only are altered- it will make a good 'Gluebook'! The focal point for the cover is a coffee house napkin... hence the RSD letters.

This is our own rescue cat, Buster.  I adopted him from our local Humane Society 5 1/2 years ago....he is almost 9 and is the sweetest, meowingiest cat you've ever met.  And naturally, he is always dressed his best , in his tuxedo. Buster had been at the shelter for six months when we adopted him.  Bless all those who care for the animals in no-kill shelters!!!

My 4X4 collage featured on Anniversary collage sheets!

Hi everyone!  The 4X4 I created for the 4th anniversary challenge through Ten Two Studios is now featured on the collage sheets being offered through Ten Two Studios!

I used UHU Twist 'n' Glue to add the micro beads around the edge.

A Gluebook Cover - Hanging Out....

While waiting for more toner to arrive for my printer, I took time out from a big project to make a gluebook journal cover- this was created on a 75-cent composition book. I call this one 'Hanging Out' - because the image is from one I took in Italy 2 years ago- laundry hanging out to dry- in Pienza.  I altered it in PS. Below is the journal cover...

Materials used: PPA (adhesive), cheesecloth, tissue paper, crackle paste, crackle stuff on the image, acrylic paints, dimensional paint, laser printed image (copyright-me).

4 X 4 Collage

I created this 4X4 collage in honor of Ten Two Studios' 4th anniversary.  The background is a paint spattered baby wipe which I had used when making background papers (next post below this one).
The imagery is from a collage sheet from Ten Two Studios for this anniversary challenge.

Background Papers!!

Last week I made some background paper while helping our granddaughters learn how to make it- we had so much fun- they are 7 and 11.  Then this evening, my sister-in-law, Mendi, and I made some - it was her first time as well- more fun!
Here they all are. The girls decided to use theirs as place mats!
