In our beautiful SW Oregon Valley, it is currently snowing....here's just the thing to invoke that snowy charm...a letter book from Ten Two Studios!
The backgrounds of the ATC's are my own digitally designed marbled papers, which are in my Etsy Store.
I used some of these faux postage images ,which I purchased from Ten Two Studios, for the design of the ATC's.
This 6-needle coptic-bound journal is on it's way to New York state tomorrow- a commission that has waited 6-months to be completed....it is a fraction larger than 8" X 8"...with 150 pages (300 if you count both sides...).
All the images, with descriptions, are in this album on my website.
I even used my digitally marbled papers for the endpapers...which you can see here.
Two more sets are now in my Etsy store---these were inspired by my love of the Oregon coast and exploration of tide pools at low tide. :^)

This altered book spread is for a round robin book with the theme "Numbers"...and my 'theme' was easy to pick. I used my digitally marbled paper for the large '7', plus 2 smaller 7's on the left side. I put the large '7' into a niche of about 10 pages or so.( I use PVA bookbinding adhesive to hold niches together...just on the edges of the pages.) I masked the number seven in a variety of ways, and then sprayed with various Color Mists from Outside the Margins.
Doodling, white writing, and few ruler stamps make up the rest of the spread. I added colorful fasteners to the right side of the niche, just for fun.
I wanted to use my digitally derived marbled papers for an altered book spread, and found the perfect opportunity in one RR book with a house/garden theme.
The solid color papers of the trees and chimneys, and the small flowers are from the Fiesta House set by Ten Two Studios. The rest of the papers are my digital creations. Who says you can't wear stripes with plaid?? :)) The background reminded me of the Aurora Borealis, which I've seen in North Dakota. Though these colors are a bit different, the waviness of color really shows what the motion of the aurora is like...quite spectacular, really. I had fun with freehand cutting of the houses, and drawing of windows, etc...I felt like a kid again with this book. Thanks, Louise!
